The Raiser’s Edge Database Manager is responsible for providing database administration in Raiser’s Edge and other key administrative support to Youth Frontiers’ Donor Relations department. This includes data entry, mailing coordination, constituent research, wealth screenings, information management, report preparation, scheduling, data analysis, and general and specialized clerical work. The Raiser’s Edge Database Manager will be required to exercise discretion, self-motivation and independent judgment throughout all duties to ensure an effective and efficient development effort. This position must be focused on a team-oriented, mission-driven organization and will bring enthusiasm, a willingness to find solutions and a desire to generate and implement organization-improving ideas.

  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent 2-3 years of work experience. 
  • You have a minimum of one year of Raiser’s Edge experience, and preferred 2-5+ years of Raiser’s Edge experience.
  • You have excellent computer skills including Excel and Word.
  • You have a strong work ethic, absolute attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and a high level of oral and written communication skills.
  • You have the ability to handle confidential information, research inquisitively and report facts accurately.
  • You have working knowledge of nonprofit development and prospect research.
  • You have the ability to accept responsibility for projects and assignments, progressing them on a timeline and reporting back with limited oversight and prompting.
  • You are self-motivated, energetic, results oriented and goal focused.
  • You are able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • You have the flexibility and willingness to work occasional overtime weekend or evening hours.


  • You will accurately maintain the overall integrity of the donor database, including entering and exporting data including gift entry, donor activity, tracking and reporting.
  • You will maintain database software; ensure timely implementation of upgrades, and provide training to other staff as needed.
  • You will process donations, promptly issue tax receipts and acknowledgement letters.
  • You will pull lists for, prepare and mail annual tax receipt letters to all donors.
  • You will be responsible for donor and prospect research management and creation of profiles for the department manager, major gift officers, and CEO.
  • You will partner closely with the Special Events Coordinator in support of regular and special events.
  • You will act as a resource for the organization, serving as a liaison between staff, donors and development department.
  • You will provide all administrative support for the department, including but not limited to answering phone calls and other inquiries, mailings, printing projects, presentations, errands, and other assistance as requested or required.
  • You will set the agenda, take minutes during weekly Donor Relations staff meetings and send follow ups to each major gifts officer on agreements/actions that were made at meeting.
  • You will manage the preparation of the annual donor plan and help coordinate each aspect of the plan for each manager.
  • You will pull donor and marketing lists from Raiser’s Edge database for direct mail pieces.
  • You will perform monthly reconciliation of donations with accounting department.
  • You will perform other duties department manager needs support on.

This position is classified as regular, full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt.
